Book Press Release

Publication Date: January 15, 2016

Title: ReVengeance
Oscar Crawford

Inspired by the suffering of sexual violence by women and children at the hands of men for millennia.

Fascinating Story Line, I love how the story portrays a woman's bond protecting each other. ~Tabitha Dye, Author of the Burden of Trust

ReVengeance tells the story of Eee Mah, a baby born into the violent prehistoric world where males did not value the birth of girls and even less the women that gave them birth.  In this world, women’s existence determined and controlled by men exploiting them and using them for sex and work.
Eee Mah and six friends survived the hurt that groups of men brought them when they came of age. All usually gave birth to their first children because of these prehistoric sexual assaults. Together, they formed an alliance to take their revenge on the men who hurt women and children. They allowed no man or group of men to harm them or other women and children without consequences. The Seven became the first ReVengers.

ReVengeance is published by Oscar Crawford Media RRP $11.99. ISBN: 978 - 1522775690 Available at Createspace and Amazon.

Social Best Practices to Prevent Childhood Sexual Assault

“When we talk with our children about sexual abuse, we are not only taking a proactive step toward protecting them, we are building our relationship with them--grounded in honesty and trust. It's a win-win situation.” ~Carolyn Byers Ruch

Social best practices to prevent childhood sexual assault begin with its own prime directive. RAINN, the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network. defines child sexual abuse is a form of child abuse that includes sexual activity with a minor. A child cannot consent to any form of sexual activity, period.

Social Best Practices to
Prevent Childhood Sexual Assault
Responsible Adult Action
Engage children you believe sexually abused. Get involved immediately for their protection and get them the help they need. Report observations to the appropriate authorities; law enforcement and child protective services.
Parental Training
Responsible parents engage learning and training sessions to identify the signs a child is experiencing sexual assault. Stop It Now’s Tip Sheet offers observable behavior that can indicate Warning Signs of Possible Sexual Abuse in a Child's Behaviors. Among them are onset of sudden nightmares and sleep problems, seems distracted and distant, leaves clues likely to prompt discussions of sexual issues, refuses to talk about a secret, and suddenly has money and gifts unaccounted for.
Family Accountability
Families must conduct regular evaluations with children and others that observe them for awareness of their personal safety from the behavior of older children and adults, whether two parent or single parent households. Two-parent households should conduct their evaluation together with and in the presence of a trusted person or professional. Children respond differently to different people. The only order of business for the evaluation is to determine safety of the child at home, at school, and with others.
Organized Families and Communities
Organized people and organized resources increase opportunities for action that makes a difference in the lives of children, families and communities. Covenanting to watch for and protect each other’s children provides for a safer and more secure environment for child safety. When children know they are cared for and protected, they prove to be more often to all who look out for them. This process also works for adults.
Take the Pledge
Take the Pledge that says, “I/We commit I/We will cause no harm to children; physical, sexual, social, emotional, or criminal.  I/We commit to be active observers at all times in the best interests of children and child safety. I/ We will report all observations causing concern about child safety to the appropriate authorities.  I/We commit to this pledge.”
These social best practices to prevent childhood sexual assault are not exhaustive. They are not a place to end but a place to begin. Children deserve adult best direction, love and care.

The Truth About End Of Year Activity

The truth about end of year activity reveals character. All across my state and country, people are engaging end of year activity. The marketplace says, "BUY, BUY, BUY!" in person at the store or online. Churches market Jesus and giving to ease tax responsibilities. Many will create debt they cannot pay conveniently while others wish they could. Enjoyment and happiness seem to be at the homes of more well off others with the prettiest lights, biggest tree with many gifts under it, and the biggest holiday meal. Some will even be kind through giving food and clothing as if people only need them in December.

Christmas does not transform personalities because the real ones come back in January acting as if benevolence is a part - time end of year activity only. I want to recommend if you would make a real difference this end of year season, do these very practical and simple things.

Intentionally make a new friend appreciating their interests instead of selling them on our own. Plan intentional time you can spend with them. Help them to feel as important to themselves as you feel important to yourself. If you really want to invest in giving them a gift, ask how  you might help them realize their dream.

If you realize this friend thing is not for you, be honest with yourself and quit pretending. Just accept that you are an end of year pretend to be good person. If on the other hand, your authentic self has the desire to reach out and touch people where they live, spend shared time with them and their families in their environment and invite them to experience yours. This is the real path to building a better world. Think about it. What if we all did this all the time making sure to lease one out? Do you think that would make a difference?
