The truth will set you free of the unnecessary and the irrelevant. Coming Monday, April 13, 2015 - Sex, Love, Money, Power, Fame, Faith and Spirituality - THE GREATEST OF THESE. This will frighten some, threaten others, and cause the undeveloped, immature, and in denial to go on full blast judgmental. Get ready. This will be a rough ride.
Religious and pious people the world over have been making futile attempts to sublimate, repress and deny their sexual instincts. The perception exists that if this power can be controlled, a higher quality of existence will be achieved and experienced.
The rub comes in knowing that even if you seek to sublimate, repress, or deny sexual instinct, it will find a way to express itself. Sex has been tied to violence historically as a result of the prehistory's mating rituals. Our Neanderthal ancestors were not as civilized or as spiritual as we believe we have become. The jury is still out on that one. For good or not so good, our ancestors lived out their authentic character as they had been designed.
The denial of sexual expression and release has led to many acts of violence in contemporary context, the rape and murder, primarily of women. That is unnecessary when what is being denied has many paths for realization and expression. The Greatest of These will assert the predominance of human behavior is focused on appropriate positioning to achieve desired sexual ends, immediate and long term. This is one of the goals of mating for life. Love is second to this proposition. Money is second to this proposition. Fame is second to this proposition. Faith and spirituality cannot be intentionally and intensely focused on until these ends are achieved.
When either of these conditions is achieved and experienced, an interesting thing takes place. When money, fame, and power increase, so does sexual opportunity. We humans who did not create ourselves are interesting. When we develop the capacity to be honest with ourselves and others about what we want, we will be on our way to the next level of becoming human.
